Appointments

All of the doctors work on a part-time basis, so it is advisable to check their days in attendance under Doctors. We try to keep a balance of appointments available by having appointments on the day, within 48 hours and up two weeks ahead. 

The appointment system is updated on a weekly basis and the number of pre-bookable appointments are determined by doctor availability.

Appointments are available during the following times:

08.45 – 12.15
14.15 – 18.00

 Tuesday

08.45 – 12.15
14.15 – 18.00

 Wednesday

08.45 – 12.15
14.15 – 18.00

 Thursday

08.45 – 12.15
14.15 – 18.00

 Friday

08.45 – 12.15
14.15 – 19.00

 Weekends

Extended Hours

We currently have extended hours for pre-booked appointments only with our nurse practitioners and practice nurse for minor illness, minor injury, chronic disease management and phlebotomy which are as follows:-

  • Monday 07.30 until 18.30
  • Tuesday 07.00 until 18.30
  • Friday 07.30 until 18.30

Please be punctual for any appointment and always give us as much notice as possible if you are unable to keep a booked appointment.   Patients should be aware that if they are more than 5 minutes late for an appointment, it is likely that the clinician you are booked in with will not be able to see you and you will be asked to re-arrange that appointment.  From time-to-time our GP's and nurses have to deal with medical emergencies and complex conditions which may result in their surgeries not running to time.

Telephone Calls

When making an appointment you may be asked if a telephone consultation with the doctor or nurse practitioner would be more helpful to you.  It is very important that we have your correct contact details. Please note that all calls are monitored and recorded for training purposes.

If you require urgent, on the day advice the duty doctor will deal with your call.  If you wish to speak with a particular doctor or nurse practitioner for non-urgent enquiries your request will be passed on to them to deal with when they are next on duty.  Please make this clear to the receptionist when leaving your message.
